De Ma-Ma vaas is een uniek ontwerp van Roderick Vos, waarbij hij zich liet inspireren door de structuren van de natuur. De fascinatie van Roderick Vos voor deze basale vormen komt voort uit haar vaak verrassende eenvoud en schoonheid; ‘deling, regelmaat, ritme, herhaling’. Door op deze werk-wijze een basisvorm als het ware te repeteren, ontstond in 19.99 de Ma-Ma vaas. Tijdens het ontwerpproces van de ‘Ma-Ma’ was het vertrekpunt een archetype van een symmetrische vaas te creëren. Door deze vaasvorm op de computer te kantelen, en twee identieke vormen hier tegenaan te positioneren, ontstond ‘bij toeval’ dit fascinerend drie dimensionaal lijnenspel. Inmiddels is dit ontwerp een icoon binnen de Cor Unum collectie.
